Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1
- NJP / Bagdogra to Rishikhola Transfer
- Travel Time: Approx. 5–6 hours (120 km)
- On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), meet our representative.
- Drive through lush forests, mountain streams, and scenic valleys to reach Rishikhola, a peaceful riverside village on the Sikkim–West Bengal border.
- Check-in at the riverside cottage or homestay.
- Evening: Enjoy the serene surroundings, walk along the Rishi River, or indulge in a bonfire (optional).
- Overnight Stay: Rishikhola
Day 2
- Rishikhola to Zuluk via Sightseeing
- Travel Time: Approx. 5–6 hours
- After breakfast, proceed toward Zuluk, a historic Silk Route village at an altitude of 10,000 ft.
- On the way, visit:
- Aritar Lake (Lampokhari) and Aritar Monastery
- Padamchen – known for its misty pine forests
- Lingtam Village Check Post – the first permit point on the Silk Route
- Arrive in Zuluk, check-in at a homestay with stunning Himalayan views.
- Evening: Enjoy sunset views over the snow-clad mountains.
- Overnight Stay: Zuluk
Day 3
- Zuluk to Gangtok via Thambi View Point, Nathang Valley, Changu Lake & Baba Mandir (Nathula Pass Included)
- Altitude: 12,000–14,000 ft
- Travel Time: Approx. 6–7 hours
- After early breakfast, start your journey along the legendary Old Silk Route:
- Thambi View Point – breathtaking view of the 32 hairpin bends and Mt. Kanchenjunga
- Lungthung, Nathang Valley, and Kupup Lake (Elephant Lake)
- Visit Tukla Valley War Memorial and Old Baba Mandir
- Drive further to Changu (Tsomgo) Lake and New Baba Mandir
- Continue to Nathula Pass (Indo-China Border) – included in the package (subject to permit & weather).
- Proceed to Gangtok and check-in at hotel.
- Overnight Stay: Gangtok
Day 4
- Gangtok Local Sightseeing
- After breakfast, explore the best attractions of Gangtok city:
- Tashi View Point
- Ganesh Tok & Hanuman Tok
- Flower Exhibition Centre
- Do Drul Chorten Stupa
- Namgyal Institute of Tibetology
- Handicraft & Handloom Centre
- Banjhakri Falls
- Evening: Leisure time at MG Marg to enjoy cafés and shopping.
- Overnight Stay: Gangtok
Day 5
- Gangtok to NJP / Bagdogra Drop
- After breakfast, check out and drive back to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (approx. 4–5 hours).
- Tour ends with cherished memories of the Silk Route and Sikkim’s serene landscapes.
