Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1
- Arrival at NJP – Transfer to Lamahatta (Approx. 4 hrs drive)
- On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport, meet our representative.
- Proceed towards Lamahatta, a serene mountain village surrounded by pine forests and prayer flags offering panoramic views of the Eastern Himalayas.
- Check-in at the homestay/resort and relax.
- Evening at leisure – take a short walk around the Lamahatta Eco Park, enjoy the cool breeze, and witness a stunning sunset over Mt. Kanchenjunga.
- Overnight stay in Lamahatta.
Day 2
- Lamahatta Local Sightseeing
- After breakfast, explore the beautiful surroundings of Lamahatta.
- Sightseeing Points:
- Lamahatta Eco Park – a peaceful park with colorful prayer flags, offering breathtaking Himalayan views.
- Lamahatta Roadside Garden – known for its scenic walking trails and photo spots.
- Sacred Lake Trek (Lamahatta Top) – a short hike through pine and rhododendron forests to a tranquil sacred lake.
- Takdah Orchid Centre – a historic orchid garden featuring several rare Himalayan orchid species.
- Tinchuley View Point – a quiet village viewpoint offering vistas of the Teesta Valley and snow peaks.
- Return to the homestay by evening.
- Overnight stay in Lamahatta.
Day 3
- Lamahatta – Transfer to Gangtok (Approx. 4 hrs drive)
- After breakfast, drive to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim.
- En route, enjoy scenic views of tea gardens and rivers.
- On arrival, check-in at your hotel in Gangtok and relax.
- Evening: Explore MG Marg, Gangtok’s famous shopping and food street.
- Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 4
- Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Optional Nathula Pass)
- After an early breakfast, begin an excursion to the high-altitude wonders of East Sikkim.
- Sightseeing Points:
- Tsomgo (Changu) Lake – a sacred glacial lake situated at 12,400 ft, famous for its changing colors.
- Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir – a revered temple dedicated to an Indian Army soldier.
- (Optional) Nathula Pass – Indo-China border (permit required; extra charges apply, open only on specific days).
- Return to Gangtok by evening.
- Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 5
- Gangtok Local 7 Point Sightseeing – Drop at NJP
- After breakfast, check out and proceed for Gangtok Local Sightseeing (7 Points):
- Tashi View Point – panoramic view of Mt. Kanchenjunga.
- Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok – serene hilltop temples.
- Enchey Monastery – a 200-year-old monastery surrounded by pine trees.
- Flower Exhibition Centre – colorful display of Himalayan orchids and flowers.
- Do Drul Chorten Stupa – one of the most important stupas in Sikkim.
- Namgyal Institute of Tibetology – museum preserving Tibetan culture and artifacts.
- After sightseeing, drive to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey.
